A large part of what motivated me to become a tattoo artist was personal observation from a collector's point of view. My first pieces, though nicely rendered, were dark and visually overbearing to my sensibility. I longed for work that felt less confining and more feminine. This frustration, and assessment of personal identity, has been one of the most significant contributions in the direction my work has gone artistically.
Tattoos have an amazing power to show you yourself. It is a great honor to be part of this progressive medium. The tattoo collector is truly a patron of the arts, by wearing the work as a living canvas.
As it seems that my work is naturally geared towards a more feminine esthetic, I have decided to specialize in catering to an all female clientele and am interested in doing custom pieces only.
BODY SETS
I am encouraging the collector to think more holistically when it comes to the overall balance of their collection. I am interested in doing med/ large scale bodywork, of complimentary and symmetrical motifs. I like he idea of approaching the set as if it were a custom tailored garment.
For projects such as this I can handle the set in a variety of ways depending on the client's budget and availability to sit for the work. This application is time consuming and requires multiple sessions. All projects that I work on require a bare minimum of two passes per section, no exceptions.
INDIVIDUAL PIECES
Although my focus is on a unified overall look, I am also interested in taking on individual pieces. With every project I try to keep the design open to expansion for future additions. Regardless of the size of the project, Its important to me to make every tattoo that I do count.
SUBJECT MATTER
Some of my favorite subjects include; flowers, insects, wildlife, plants, leaves, textures and other wonderfully inspiring elements from nature, crystals and mandalas, fractals, abstract color and movement based loosely on my photography, psychedelic and surreal inspired motifs, macro mind-scapes, science, use of negative space, mythological creatures from dragons to unicorns and figurative work ranging from goddess type female characters to expressionist portraits.
